As the Head of the Costume Shop for Traveling Players Ensemble I was both a designer and teacher. I taught high school students sewing fundamentals and guided them through creating costumes. We fitted, altered, and created garments for a large Shakespeare play Cymbeline that had around 45 characters. Big builds for it include 2 pink doublets, a blue Roman toga, and a set of 15 foam armor pieces. I also taught the students how to make pin cushions and aprons.
